FeedPro EMax Limited is the only licensed distributor of EM.1®. EM stands for "Effective Microorganisms". EM.1® enhances increase of beneficial microbes by attracting opportunistic microbes. This farming technology was invented by Professor Teruo Higa, in early 1980s – Rockyus University in Okinawa, Japan.

EM.1® consists of a wide variety of effective, beneficial and non-pathogenic microorganisms produced through a natural process and not chemically synthesized or genetically engineered. It comes in a liquid form, consists of natural bacteria - Lactic Acid Bacteria, Yeast and phototrophic bacteria. These microbes can exist anywhere in Soil, Waste water, animal feeds, water, air, bio gas system, inside animal food system, etc.

Trial Results

Our trials in agriculture, livestock, biogas, and environment management based on organic waste showed improvement in yield, nutritional value and livelihood of the small scale farmers as well as commercial farmers. Kagera Tea Company recorded 70% increase in Green tea leaf, using only 20% of the costs.
